Last week Friday being the 12th day of June, 2020, the President and Executive members of Friends Against Drug Abuse (FADA) visited the President and management of Shola Mese Foundation (SMF) on a courtesy visit at Shola Mese Foundation Complex, 17 Izakpa Street off Airport Road, Effurun, Delta State at about 11.00am. They were received by the President, Dcn. Shola Mese and Board members of the Foundation. They were on a mission to establish participatory relationship with Shola Mese Foundation in the fight against substance abuse, the proliferation of drug /substances abuse in our contemporary society, road map for Rehabilitation and engaging drug addicts especially the Youths and Teenagers below the age of 35 and how we can further advocate through sensitization to reduce crime rate in our society. It was more of an interactive session as it opined ways in which we can control and nurture drug addicts to give them a sense of belonging back to the society rather than subjecting them through quarantine means or rehab homes. It was agreed during that courtesy visit that it is time for both NGO’s to work together for an all inclusive manner to actualize our collective goals.
